Scott Garvin has served as Senior Pastor of Grant’s Creek Baptist Church since March of 2019. He is originally from Texas but was serving as a pastor  for the past fourteen years at Lakeport FL. He and his wife, Patty, a native of Dothan, Alabama, have been married since August of 1990 and have two adult sons, Casey and Cooper. Scott is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been a Christian since the age of eight. Scott felt the Holy Spirit call him to commit his life to full time Christian service at the age of sixteen while at youth camp in Glorieta, New Mexico. As the Lord has provided opportunity, He has served as Youth Director, Education Director, Pastor and Association Director in Texas, Virginia, Arkansas and Florida. Scott’s preaching and teaching is characterized by his determination to present God’s unchanging Word in a way that point people to Jesus. He challenges and encourages people to glorify God and to share their faith in the risen Lord.

 

Jerry is originally from Dothan, Alabama. He is a graduate of Troy University with a degree in Business Administration/ Marketing. His wife, Sue, is from Linden, Alabama. They have three children and five grandchildren. Jerry accepted Christ as his personal Savior at 10 years of age. His love for music led him to become active in church music ministry, singing in the choir and playing guitar in the church praise band.

Jerry has also served as an officer in Sunday School and has led classes in Church Training and Sunday School. Before coming to Grant’s Creek, he served as Interim Minister of Music at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis on two different occasions the longest being almost three years. He also served for a short period of time as Minister of Music at Gallion Baptist Church.
